For those of us who don’t have fax machines but wish we did every now and again, I performed a little research to see what the Internet could offer the very occasional fax user. I found a lot! Below is a list of the free services I found for sending and/or receiving faxes.
eFax.com – Free service allows you to receive faxes that will be forwarded to your email. Subscription service allows you use a local number and send outgoing faxes.
FaxWave – Free service allows you to receive faxes that will be forwarded to your email. They also have free Internet answering machine software.
J2 Global Communications – Free service allows you to receive faxes and voice mail that will be forwarded to your email. Subscription service allows you to send faxes, send broadcast faxes, and connect to voice conferences.
Masterclick – Free services allows faxing to 12 countries. Subscription service is also available for phone and fax services.
Interpage – Allows you to sample their fee-based service by sending a free fax(es) to a US destination
