I started the Byte of the Week in 2000 while working for a larger organization. I try to write about things that interest me and that I think will interest the readers. I’d hardly say that the articles were cutting edge – but I try to keep up on things that I think will be useful, easy, or fairly cheap to implement.
Through Treacy Information Services, I work with small business to help them reach more customers online with their web sites, email newsletter, blog or whatever tool makes sense for reaching their potential audience.
I have a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science, which I think gives me some insight into how people search for and use information. I try to bring that into the web sites that I develop and work on.
I also have a Master’s Degree in Irish Literature, but that doesn’t come up as much.
What is the proper name for Chiggers
The term chigger is a common name used to describe the larval stage of mites. You can learn more here: http://www.ipm.iastate.edu/ipm/iiin/chigger.html
Funny enough we just passed on a fun jump in the lake due to chigger scare.
Ann,
It was great meeting with you and Jan on Friday – we are looking forward to the two of you helping us develope strategies for reaching out to this whole new world.
