Online Book Club to Discuss Rise of the Creative Class

Summer is here! So today I bring you a good excuse to spend next couple of weeks sitting in the sun and reading a really good book.

Minnesota Rural Partners and E-Democracy are starting a statewide online book club so that participants can read and discuss books about community. The first book is The Rise of the Creative Class by Richard Florida. You can buy the book and sign up for the online discussion from the MRP web site.

Discussion is going to start in June and will continue through July as a lead in to the t 2003 Rural Summit. In fact we are setting up a time for book clubbers to meet at the conference.

I hear the moderator for the discussion is really sharp! (OK, you guessed right – it’s me!)
