I got an invitation today to a Webex conference. Webex provides businesses with the tools they need to host or attendee interactive, online conferences. The event is “Overcoming the 7 Most Common Challenges to Presenting Online.” It’s free, it’s happening on October 21, and I plan to be there.

If you have never attended an online conference, I think you should give it a shot. There are several vendors but I like Webex because it requires almost nothing on the user end. Webex has a host of conferences you can join for free and they have a number of recorded events you can view at your leisure. (Check the link above for links to other conferences.)

I know a lot of us aren’t looking at hosting an online conference in the near future – but Webex (and tools like it) can also be a way to pitch a product or idea to a customer far away without the time and expense of travel. It might be fun to find out a little bit more about it by attending a class yourself.
